Requirements

Wisconsin Firefighter I or II

Job Descriptions
-
Respond to Fire and Medical Emergencies.

Incident Reports: Document all emergency responses, including the nature of the incident, actions taken, and outcomes. Complete all required reports for each call.

Inventory Management: Track inventory of equipment and supplies and report any shortages or damaged items.

Inspections: Conduct fire safety inspections in public and private buildings to ensure compliance with local fire codes.

Public Education: Provide fire safety education to the public, including conducting school visits, fire drills, and community outreach programs.

Maintain Fire Apparatus: Perform daily checks and routine maintenance of fire trucks, ambulances, and other vehicles, ensuring readiness for emergency responses.

Inspect Firefighting Equipment: Ensure that firefighting equipment, including hoses, nozzles, breathing apparatus, and personal protective gear, is in good working condition.

Cleaning & Decontamination: Clean apparatus, clean station, and decontaminate fire gear.
